One of the number one rules I have with fashion is comfort and with this heatwave in full swing, I can’t think of anything more important right now! I’ve been living in comfy clothes that I can just throw on, but at the same time, also look nice. It’s the summer holiday’s here in the UK and with me having just finished my degree and my mum working in a school, lots of time has already been spent running errands and babysitting my cousins’. In this heat I really can’t be doing those kinds of things in anything other than something comfy! This two piece I picked up from Zara has been a god-send so far already, and I can see it being a key part of my wardrobe next Spring too!
I wore it on the plane on the way back from my recent holiday to Portugal (more on that very soon!), out shopping and also cycling in the woods at Center Parcs last week. I’m usually a dress girl, but this year I’ve definitely been more drawn to trousers. This is no doubt partly because of influence from other bloggers, I’ve seen some amazing outfit inspo. on Instagram!, and, mostly because there are just many occasions in daily life when a skirt is completely impractical!
As a general rule I tend to shy away from nude colours as I’m usually the palest person out there (currently slightly tanned so it doesn’t look that way at the moment!) but I was pleasantly surprised by how much this suited me. I feel like it would be the perfect shade to suit all skin tones, and the ruffle detailing on the edge of the arms and hem of the leg is a nice touch. The material is also gorgeously loose and floaty, and in this weather that’s all you can really ask for!
The exact top and bottoms that i’m wearing in the photographs above are from Zara and I purchased them in-store, but I can’t seem to find them online! I’ve found a similar set here from Missy Empire and another here from Boohoo. I’ve also picked out a few more two pieces that are on my current wish list below.
I’m feeling all the Clueless vibes from this set! The flares are perfect, and I love this check print. Don’t even get me started on the colour – it’s stunning. Yellow/mustard are always fab and when the sun is shining as much as it is now, reflecting it in your outfit is a win!
An off-the-shoulder two piece is a dream for me. I absolutely love the style and print of this. The fact it’s in the tall range is a win for me, although I’m sure it could be worn by everyone in a longer style, and the fact it’s only £21 is a complete bargain!
Leopard print is making such a statement at the moment, and I think it’s going to be huge in Autumn/Winter. This is a fab two piece to wear now, but also team it with a jacket as the weather transitions. I love pieces that take you through seasons and this is a win-win!
I love that all of these pieces can also be worn alone to create a completely different look and they would all be so worth it in terms of price per wear! Hopefully this has provided you with some two piece style inspiration, inspired by comfort.
Until next time,
